Have a profile option to suppress blank lines when viewing any SYSOUT dataset

Some sysout datasets have too many blank lines. In a 80-char 43-line screen, a condensed view (no blank lines) would present more useful data on the screen and not require excessive scrolling.

Allow SDSF to do a SETSYS to any LPAR in any SYSPLEX in your enterprise for commands and displays.

A User can be Logged on to one SYSTEM and then do a SETSYS to another LPAR in a different or same SYSPLEX and have full SDSF capability with full user access. This would be very useful and beneficial in enabling the user to get to any LPAR rapidly...

Accumulative PREFIX

To monitor multiple tasks without constantly resetting PREfix. Ex. During performance tests, I want to watch CTG*, CICS*, DB2*. I would like to see those 3....and only those 3 on 1 screen. So....something like Pre CTG*. Then +PRE CICS*. Then +Pre ...

SDSF - LOG - FILTER

When invoking SDSF LOG… have SDSF check to see if a filter is defined, if one is defined… display the FILTER panel (ISFAFIL) prior to display the OPERLOG or SYSLOG. This will inform and allow the user to change the defined filters in advance, prio...

Show information about 2G large pages in SDSF

With more and more address spaces exploiting 2G large pages, the memory usage of ASIDs shown by SDSF in the DA panel (column REAL) loses relevance. We need a column showing the allocated 2G pages in the DA panel. It would be of additional value, i...

SDSF RACF health check improvements

As per TS014534230, I'd like an improvement to SDSF / Health check SDSF_CLASS_SDSF_ACTIVE to eliminate checking of obsolete profiles and also to check whether JES2 or JES3 is being used and then only check for the relevant profiles. Currently the ...

SRCHFOR within SDSF

ISPF allows the use of a SRCHFOR primary command from the data set list. The command will search for text within each data set in the list and identify which data sets contain the text. SDSF should support a SRCHFOR command to search the job steps...

increase precission of percentage values on PAGe data sets panel

The "Use%" column in the "PAGe data sets" panel rounds the usage down to a whole number, so 7.95% in use is reported as 7%. Across multiple page data sets this can become a huge difference with actual usage. I propose to show at least 1 decimal di...
12 months ago in z/OS / SDSF 1 Not under consideration

Please modify SDSF RACF calls to class JESSPOOL to use the RACF group(not RACF userid) to validate if a user has access to view/modify output.

This would be useful because users in a group should be able to view /modify all output created by userids in their group. Currently, SDSF only checks the userid of the output and many RACF groups contain many(5-50) userids so it would be very ben...
