HMC access to time adjustment messages on the Support Element

Provide functionality for the HMC to extract the Audit log from any attached zSeries processor

    Thank you for your input. Starting with z13 GA2, the HMC web service APIs provide the ability to extract audit log information from both the HMC and any defined CPC that is z13 GA2 of later. These APIs can be used to get the audit log data from the CPC where the time adjustment information is logged. In addition, the Support Element provides the ability for a scheduled operation to be created to offload the audit log data in HTML or XML format at any desired frequency to an FTP/SFTP server. This could also be used as a way to get access to the desired time adjustment logs with one caveat; the Support element needs to have network connectivity to the FTP/SFTP server. We understand this is not the case in many customer configurations and are evaluating what can be done to alleviate this limitation.
