LPQ Command - Utilize capturable output method

The TSO LPQ command does not have a method to capture the output via an interactive method (TSO CLIST, REXX, Unix tsocmd, etc.). This is due to the following per IBM support:

"Several TSO commands supplied as a part of TCP/IP are written in Pascal, such as PING, TRACERTE, LPQ, LPR and REXEC. The routines use Pascal's standard output file for the generated messages. Pascal runtime will detect the difference between running under a user's TSO session and running in the batch environment, and will direct use SYSIN and SYSPRINT for standard I/O in batch and TGET and TPUT (direct terminal I/O) for these under TSO. So there will not be any DDs used for this output, nor will CLIST SYSOUTTRAP or REXX OUTTRAP functions capture these lines.

I am not aware of any mechanism that can be used to override this behavior."

This RFE is to request that IBM make the commands listed above utilize a method that allows output of them to be captured (either by default, or via an option). Alternately, perhaps Unix variants of these commands can be created that provide the same functionality that could also be captured via standard Unix scripting methods.
