This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

FTP users do not see informational messages (last used, password expiring, etc.) from CA-TopSecret at signon. FTP Server needs to be able to pass these messages back to user. Here's CA's comments on FTP and informational signon messages.
We (CA) handle the TSS informational signon messages as follows:
- TSS will put the messages out via a WTO if we think it is BATCH or STC, which it is not in this case here. The calls in this case happen under whatever facility FTP runs under.
- If that facility has TSOC, we will put the message via TPUT, but that's not going to work here. (The TSOC facility control option indicates that the facility is TSO compatible and the facility can handle TGET and TPUT SVCs.)
- We have special code for CICS/IMS and some other online facilities, but that also is not going to work here.
For the other facilities, we just pass the messages back if the caller requested MSGRTRN= so the caller can return the messages. From our testing, FTP is not using MSGRTRN= on the call.
Since none of the above is true for FTP, we don't pass back the messages. So there isn't a way to pass the TSS informational signon messages to the FTP user at signon.
