IDS Flood IP Address(s) Exclusion

We would like to be able to exclude an IP Address(s) for an IDS Flood Attack.

We currently can only exclude and IP Address(s) on these type of attacks:

TCP Queue Size Attack
EE Malformed Packet Attack
EE LDLC Check Attack
EE Port Check Attack
EE XID Flood Attack

Response From the IBM ETR I opened up 88663 379 000

Flood Attack do not support the remote exclusion address.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - z Systems Software
    Product - z/OS Communications Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Enterprise Networking
    Product - z/OS Communications Server

It's the Interface flood events and not the TCP SYN floods events. Let me know if you have any further questions.

We are seeing Interface Flood Events. We are trying to correct this situation by working with the remote end server but it would be nice to exclude this IP Address(s) until it's resolved. This way we would get only 'true' IDS flood events from a possible outside source.

Hi Conrad.   Just to clarify, are you seeing interface flood events or TCP SYN flood events?  I assume it's the former, but would like to be sure.
