in the security Administrators Guide it is written :

Access authority to the
IRR.PASSWORD.RESET
IRR.PWRESET.OWNER
IRR.PWRESET.TREE
IRR.PWRESET.EXCLUDE

Read Access
Permits use of the PASSWORD operand to change a
user's password to the default password value (and set
as expired).

control Access:

Permits use of the PASSWORD or PHRASE operand to
reset a user's password or password phrase within the
system's minimum change interval

Our People from the User Help Desk Need authority to resume Users and to give them a new Password.

with READ authority they are just allowed to reset the Password one time in the day. (in case the user Needs again a Password at the same day they are not allowed to give them again a Password ) because of the Systems Minimum Change interval.

with Update Access they have the authority to set the Password several times a day but they also can now give nonexpired Passwords.

We would like to have a Access (maybe ALTER) that gives the same authority like control but not the authority to set a NONEXPIRED Password.

    This item is a valid requirement but unlikely to be given high enough priority to be placed into the product plan. If this requirement is high value, please re-open it, or open a new requirement.

    We have helpdesk administrators that we want to be able to reset passwords within the Minimum Change Interval. Which can be done with Control access to IRR.PASSWORD.RESET. But prevent them from being able to issue NOEXPIRE which is allowed with Update access to this profile.
