increase RACF password interval to 365 days for the setropts settings

we would like to follow NIST guideline of a 365 day password interval. we want to change the Password change interval 60. This string indicates the maximum number of days passwords remains valid (due to a SETROPTS PASSWORD(INTERVAL) command). It contains a number in the range 1 to 254. This field supports overtype.

    This item is unlikely to be given high enough priority to be placed into the product plan. We do not plan to support longer intervals for passwords, as they are limited to a maximum of 8-characters. We suggest voting on requirement ZOS-I-2465.

    The requirement would be for both password and passphrases since this is a global setting in the SETROPTS record for INTERVALs for next password/passphrase change I believe. So the ZOS-I-2465 would cover this request if that was also the intent of that request, to modify the SETROPTS INTERVAL record to allow a greater value then 1-254, in my case, 365 (days).

    Thank you for submitting this requirement. A similar requirement (ZOS-I-2465, "Ability to set Pass Phrase change interval greater than 254 days") requested this support for passphrases. Is your requirement specifically for passwords, or does ZOS-I-2465 cover your requirement?
