HILITE PLI - End-of-line Comment // support

My programming colleague is using the "//" end of line comment indicator. I think this was an enhancement with the 5.3 release of EPLI:
The character // specifies that the rest of a line is a comment. See “Delimiters and operators” on page
6.

Actually Hilite pli within ISPF EDIT marks this character // as syntax error.

Unfortunately, CUCI can't handle comments correctly if an asterik is following the End-Of-Line comments like this: //***** IBM should add this to the builtin HILITE.

Stronger: If IBM no longer wants to support its own languages in ISPF, open-source it, and we can start building a better ISPF ourselves...

No, no, no. PL/I is one of the programming languages that is already supported by IBM. Having to use extra user-developed tools to add support to features added by IBM itself is an absolute and utter "NO!"

As noted in Tom Conley's comment, this RFE has been addressed via the ISPF community and the CBT Usermod Collection for ISPF (CUCI).

This idea is satisfied in the CBT Usermod Collection for ISPF (CUCI). It is available at http://cbttape.org/ftp/cbt/CBT967.zip.
