This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

RMF SpreadSheet Reporter should support blanks in passphrases.
Currenlty, when we define a SYSTEM within RMF SR, we try to connect to the z/OS system and we use a RACF Passphrase that contains blanks, the connection from RMF SR to z/OS fails with this error shown on the RMF SR 'FTP Command Log':
-
SENT: AUTH SSL
234 Security environment established - ready for negotiation
SENT: USER MYUSER
331 Send password please.
SENT: PASS (*hidden*)
530 PASS command failed
User could not be logged in to the FTP Server. RC = 530
User could not be logged in to the FTP Server.
-
On the Z/OS syslog we also see a RACF messaging indicatign my user tried to connect with an incorrect passphrase:
-
ICH408I USER(MYUSER)
LOGON/JOB INITIATION - PASS PHRASE IS NOT VALID
-
After I changed my passphrase on z/OS with a passphrase that does not contain blanks, the problem is solved. So RMF SR currently does not support passphrases that contains blanks.
