zOS OpenSSH extended attrs

Hello,

Secure file transfers between mainframe ( client ) and remote Windows server ( FreeSSHD) abends with following message: FOTS0883 remote open ("...") : Bad message

There were tested two cases:
Mainframe -> Wintel file transfers ending with FOTS0883
Mainframe -> Linux on z -> wintel successful file transfers

Following description was provided by IBM labs:
In both cases (z/OS and Linux), the open source code tries to pass file attributes to the server. In the z/OS case, we pass extended attributes, which doesn't occur in the Linux case.

Per the IETF protocol defining sftp: https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-secsh-filexfer-13#section-7.14 It states: Implementations MUST return SSH_FX_UNSUPPORTED if there are any unrecognized extensions. However, it appears FreeSSHD receives the attributes and isn't expecting a large value for the number of attributes to which it returns the "Bad Message" error. There is currently no support by OpenSSH for z/OS to disable sending extended attributes to the remote system.

I would like have a mechanism which will disable sending extended file attributes in such special cases like the FreeSSHD seems to be within the OpenSSH for zOS.

Thank you
