Sort Unicode positive / negative values with DFSORT

Company:
SJNK: Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance Systems, Inc.

Back Ground;
· The customer want to sort numeric string (positive / negative numerical value) of character code UTF-8 using DFSORT.
· The customer tried to sort positive / negative value of ASCII(=UTF-8*) with "ASL" of DFSORT data format, but we could not.
*ASCII x '20' to x '7D' = UTF - 8 x '20' to x '7D'
· Sort of positive and negative values of UTF - 8 (ASCII) can not be performed because It is necessary to specify positive / negative sign with EBCDIC and it is necessary to specify positive / negative sign at fixed position.
· UTF-8 (ASCII) to EBCDIC conversion is required to sort positive and negative values of UTF - 8 (ASCII).
· Since EBCDIC conversion is overhead, it can not be used for the processing of a emphasis on performance.

Request;
· The customer would like to sort Unicode positive / negative values with DFSORT without EBCDIC conversion.
