DFSort support for non-extended encrypted files

Our company intends to use pervasive encryption to encrypt our mainframe datasets, but DFSort currently does not support non-extended encrypted files. It is crucial that this support is implemented since all our sorting is done through DFSort and it is impossible to filter all datasets to verify if they are extended or non-extended.

DFSORT is planning to provide support for Basic and Large format Sequential encrypted data sets in the near future via a Development APAR. The support will be shipped for all supported releases. As a circumvention you may consider using the DEBUG BSAM parameter when IEC143I 213-9A is encountered for input or output when running a DFSORT operation against Basic and Large Format sequential data sets that are encrypted.
