RELATED IDEAS

SPC's _24malc() and _4kmalc() for Metal C

Given SPC is stabilized, would be nice if the 2 SPC RTL functions that are not tied to SPC environment management were available in the Metal C RTL, namely _24malc() and _4kmalc(), rather than having to use __asm() to embed STORAGE macro calls. I would expect the existing free() RTL function to correctly manage the release of storage obtained using _24malc() and _4kmalc(), were they to be added to the Metal C RTL.
