Reverse MAKEFILE

We're trying to move to the IBM recommended /etc/ipnodes host table from the legacy ADDRINFO/SITEINFO format. We recently noticed that we were missing the TCPIP.HOSTS.LOCAL source used by the MAKEFILE command to create the ADDRINFO/SITEINFO datasets used by TCPIP. There is not current manner by which to recreate the TCPIP.HOSTS.LOCAL dataset nor is the ADDRINFO/SITEINFO dataset format documented so we can reverse engineer.
We need a method to recreate the TCPIP.HOSTS.LOCAL dataset from the ADDRINFO/SITEINFO datasets.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - z Systems Software
    Product - z/OS Communications Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Enterprise Networking
    Product - z/OS Communications Server

While the reason for submitting this enhancement is understood it does not appear to be of value to the broader customer base. We suggest looking at the source files under ISPF browse and extracting the relevant hostname and IP address information to allow reconstruction of this file. Alternatively, using TRACE RESOLVER and issuing the PING command for the various hostnames in the file you should be able to retrieve the IP addresses associated with those hostnames.
