Create command to list a users number of USS processes (in use and highwater!!)

SYSTEM : z/OS Unix System Services
Actor : KBC needs a new feature

We have a need to lower our MAXPROCUSER setting to protect system stability. We use USS for many critical business processes.

Description : There is no command to list the max used number of processes of a specific user since last IPL. This is needed to monitor process usage of critical users who are allowed (through the RACF OMVS PROCUSERMAX setting) a higher number of processes then the system setting of MAXPROCUSER.

The 'd omvs,l,pid=xxx' command shows a user highwater usage but can only be used for an active process and the highwater number seems to be reset every time there are no active processes for the user.

It seems that you want to use historic information to better determine what setting to use. You are asking to get a value for a given point in time, but I think it is more valuable to get this information logged into SMF so that you can get a report for trend analysis. That is, the data collection should be ongoing so that it is available when you want to look at it.
