Syntax check for configuration member

It would be great to have an option to verify syntax of configuration members, namely ATCCON, ATCSTR, to prevent any possible issues to be found out only during IPLs, which are often done during weekends and resolution of such issues can be slowed down by staff availability.

VTAM already must have some kind of this functionality available, since the syntax is checked during initialization and if errors are found, gives message IST1249I.

Being able to execute this syntax check manually, or add to automation, without actual execution, would be a great tool to prevent downtime caused by overlooked errors in the configuration.

    Hello,

as additional, would be possible to pause vtam initialisation when message IST1249I is issued and popup wtor to correct definition?
In most of our environments we have VTAM as parent/predecessor to other stcs in System automation tree.
And in such a case of IST1249I vtam is initialised, childs are started/starting but no vtam resource definition is up.
