This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

System : z/OS V2.2 Mainframe
Actor : User needing new function.
Our customer uses SMTPD and considerates migration from SMTPD to CSSMTP. (Action for SMTPD abolition in the future)
Description :
we need DBCS(Japanese) Support for CSSMTP.
Without the following function, our customer has to convert mail body character code in their application, that application change needs so much workload.
Manuals about the difference of SMTPD and CSSMTP don't say clearly that CSSMTP doesn't support DBCS. Our customer requests to use CSSMTP the same as SMTPD in terms of DBCS.
