Supplied SMTP email routine SMTPNOTE needs enhancing

Problem description
SMTPNOTE, supplied in SEZAINST(SMTPNOTE), needs improvements to be
usable with modern SMTP standards and MVS environments. As is, the
code is broken as supplied.
Issues:
1. Lack of temp_dsn allocation parameters causes allocation failures
2. Inability to place customer-defined HLQ on temp_dsn causes RACF and allocation failures
3. Forced use of hostname between @ and domain causes emails to fail, because it breaks customer email domain standards
4. Forced formatting of the 'Mail from:' and 'From:' fields breaks
customer email standards. These issues cause emails, using SMTPNOTE, to fail. Customers must rewrite the code to make it usable.
Summary:
This is a considerable number of changes which may need to be reviewed and retrofitted with each release of z/OS Communication Server.

    Problem with this RFE (41027). It needs to be changed to public. I see no option to do so and do not recall selecting 'private' when I submitted it. Someone please fix it for me!!!
