zERT Information for Self-Signed Certificates with no Valid Serial Numbers

We want zERT SMF 119 records to report on all Certificates even if they do not have a Serial number or valid Serial Number like Self-Signed Certificates. You do not report on these self-signed certificates and need these reported on.

The reporting of certificate information is not dependent on how the certificate was signed or the value of its serial number. If you are using a zERT-enabled TLS protocol provider (System SSL (including AT-TLS) or ZERTJSSE), then any certificate information passed to zERT by that provider will be reported. If the provider is not zERT-enabled, then no certificate information will be reported. Based on this, we are rejecting this RFE. We encourage you, however, to continue to work with the IBM service team to determine whether the cases without certificate information are using a TLS protocol provider that is not zERT-enabled. And if a zERT-enabled provider IS being used in those cases, the issue should be investigated more as there may be an issue in the data being passed by the protocol provider.
