GDPS z/VM online/offline volumes hindering an ENABLED HYPERSWAP status

We have a GDPS environment with z/OS and z/VM and we are testing such that we have both participating in HYPERSWAP. The z/VM has a list of volumes for z/VM's use and those volumes are known to both z/OS and z/VM but z/OS volumes are only ever brought online to z/OS and same for z/VM. A volume that was not needed in z/VM currently was offline. This offline volume prevented z/VM from being ENABLED for HYPERSWAP. We brought the volume back online and z/VM became ENABLED for HYPERSWAP. We and the IBM team assisting feel that the scenario where a volume may be offline prior to a planned or unplanned HYPERSWAP is not an unusual condition. CASE TS003468726 was opened and explained why this is but we feel it is a major gap in z/VM's ability to participate in such a critical function as HYPERSWAP (z/OS has no issue like this). IBM via the CASE recommended we open an RFE.

    Upon further data being presented I wish to cancel/nullify this RFE. z/VM will be removed from the environment.
