    The move of this functionality to the HMC/SE was to provide consistent platform management and configuration of hardware facilities (in this case OSA cards) through the Hardware Management Console, rather than through individual operating system instances. While we do not intend to continue the prior OS management scheme, we are open to suggestions for improvement/enhancements to the HMC/SE tooling.
