Usage of certificate instead of userid/password for log data transfer

To improve the user management process on the Mainframe HMC we want to implement regular automated reviews of the users that do have access to the HMC including the user settings.
Instead of using the WebAPI we are planning to regularly send the report “Users” from Audit and Log Report via Scheduled Operation to an internal server to validate the data.
At the moment it seems that a technical userid and password are required to send the data via SFTP to the destination host.

Question:
Is it possible to use a certificate instead of username/password for authentication at the destination host? This would be very helpful since we do not want to use generic users on the HMC.
We have also disabled all the IBM standard user accounts like SERVICE, ACSADMIN, etc. and replaced them with personalized user accounts.
