We know that IPL(DVD) has been already implemented within DFSMSdss BUILDSA, but not documented in manuals...

Incorporating DSS stand-alone service function to HMC DVD helps customer to eliminate tape drive.
Another issue comes out. If z/OS can be IPL by HMC DVD, how may it read the DUMP FULL data set written to another DVD which is used for DASD restoration? What is the correct way to burn the downloaded DUMP FULL data sets to another DVD for DASD restoration?
I also voted for DFDSS standalone support for HMC CD.
Generally speaking, this is a very very reasonable request for there already exists a DVD version for ICKDSF ( PI75033 / UK71588 - standalone ICKDSF DVD version) in the market since 2011. Usually, when a customer uses the standalone DSS program for restoring system packs, he/she will also use ICKDSF to INIT disks.
