This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

The PARMLIB(BPXPRM00) member is shared between two partitions (SQA1 and
SQT1) of the same sysplex. It contains the following mount command
among others:
MOUNT FILESYSTEM('SYSB.PHAP850.UNIX.&SYSNAME..HTTPSRVR')
TYPE(HFS)
MODE(RDWR)
MOUNTPOINT('/&SYSNAME./HTTPServer')
SETUID
SYSNAME(SQA1)
UNMOUNT
The file SYSB.PHAP850.UNIX.SQA1.HTTPSRVR exists and is catalogued.
The file SYSB.PHAP850.UNIX.SQT1.HTTPSRVR does not exist.
When SQA1 is IPLed and BPXPRM00 is executed, the following message is
displayed:
BPXF013I FILE SYSTEM SYSB.PHAP850.UNIX.SQA1.HTTPSRVR
WAS SUCCESSFULLY MOUNTED.
When SQT1 is IPLed and BPXPRM00 is executed, the following message is
displayed:
BPXF264I PARMLIB MOUNT STATEMENT FOR FILE SYSTEM
SYSB.PHAP850.UNIX.SQT1.HTTPSRVR IS IGNORED BECAUSE THE
SYSNAME() KEYWORD SPECIFIES A SYSTEM NAME OTHER THAN THIS SYSTEM
This is all as expected.
However, when a SETOMVS SYNTAXCHECK=(00) is done in SQT1, the following
is displayed:
IEE252I MEMBER BPXPRM00 FOUND IN SYS1.PZOS220.PARMLIB
BPXI073I DATA SET SYS1.PCIC000.UNIX.SQT1.WEBS IS NOT CATALOGED
BPXI073I DATA SET SYSB.PHAP850.UNIX.SQT1.HTTPSRVR IS NOT CATALOGED
BPXO023I THE PARMLIB MEMBER BPXPRM00 CONTAINS SYNTAX ERRORS. 894
IBM Health checker also reports an exception caused by the detected
syntax errors:
USS_PARMLIB IBMUSS ACT-ENA EXCEPTION-LOW
BPXH046E Syntax error(s) were found in the parmlib members.
It is like the SYNTAXCHECK command was not taking into consideration
the SYSNAME parameter coded on the MOUNT statement.
