Need ISPF sample exit cleanup

Hello,

In SC19-3619-01 p.234 there is a pointer to a sample panel exit named ISPPXMNX in ISP.SISPSAMP.

This sample exit appears to be assembler generated from a PL/X exit and is essentially unreadable. It seems to us that as an example, this is unacceptable. Although there are some comments, most of the code is unintelligible and cannot really be called a sample or an example. It certainly would not be acceptable to use in most installations due to lack of comments and generated data names. How could it be extended?

Would you please provide a reasonable sample exit?

This item is unlikely to be given high enough priority to be placed into product plan.

A coworker pointed out there is an IBM Copyright in the sample which would suggest the sample was not intended as a basis for a new exit. Would IBM please clarify whether this sample (and hopefully a new, readable one) may be enhanced by the customer and shipped without copyright constraint or was this code intended only as a demonstration of concepts and may not be used by the customer? Thank you.
