Ability to set the max LRECL for our site of have it contingent on the type of step

We've been tripped up by this setting quite a bit when creating our own workflows. Usually (almost always) when we perform a step that is JCL, we need the max LRECL to be 80 (the default is 1024). Unless you know that will be a problem when run your workflow, most people don't know they need to change that setting and your job will abend.

I'm told by that the 1024 default is more for Unix related 'stuff'. I know we can override that default when setting up a workflow or change it just before running the JCL but is there a way to change that default for the whole site? It seems like we use the 80 waaaay more than the 1024.
