DAE should include functionality to purge/discard dumps by abend code for a customizable duration of time.

DAE currently requires manual intervention to ensure dumps are no longer suppressed. It is not uncommon that problem scenarios can involve many of the same dump being produced within a very short duration of time (such as 10 minutes or 1 hr). In these instances, installations prefer DAE suppression of these dumps. However, some time later (such as 24 hrs) a recurrence of the same abend (or optionally component symptom string) may again be important; in which dump capture is critical for diagnosis. DAE should include functionality to allow customization such that suppression be disabled after an installation defined time duration for a given abend code or symptom string filter. Optionally to be able to filter by component symptom string.

Partially implemented by the EXPIRE parameter in ADYSETxx via OA62568:

We are not planning on implementing any ABEND code, symptom string or component string filtering.

Smaller requirement of similar type deemed to be feasible and may get prioritized sooner. This can be found at https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=138739

RFE http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=138739 will track DAE requirement to provide a reset time value to be used for all dumps. This RFE will track the add-ons like reset by symptom string or given abend code etc.
