The ability to expunge old data set records from the RMM CDS is required

Due to the first in first out usage of scratch volumes in SMSTAPE and the fact that DFRMM maintains the data set records for volumes in scratch status, the RMM CDS may become full of data set records that are very old and unneeded. These records essentially become useless once the data they represent is delete expired from the backend cache of a TS77xx model VTS or similar technology. This can lead to excessively large space requirements for the RMM CDS. A method to have DFRMM drop or purge data set records for volumes that have been in the scratch pool longer than the delete expire value for that scratch category needs to be implemented to prevent overly large space requirements for the RMM CDS.
