This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. In our shop x11 to the X-Server running on our personal PC is blocked by the firewall for security reasons. For this reason we've to use x11 forwarding with magic cookie & xauth session authentication. Also, X11UseLocalhost no have to be specified in normal case in the sshd_config to be able to use the xauth session.
Without this, x11 forwarding is not able to start the X-Session. E.g. IBM SAz SMU uses x11 for displaying the configuration assistent of SMU. This can't be used with the actual configuration of zCX SSHD.
Add xauth and the required libraries (e.g. libXau.so) to zCX SSH. Change /etc/ssh/sshd_config in zCX to pick the appropriate xauth binary and change the X11UseLocalhost to no.
