This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

The ability to do batch intake of zERT data is a known requirement, but there are no plans to make zERT Network Analyzer consume SMF data in any kind of realtime basis. Given that we already have an RFE for automated import, we are rejecting this RFE.
Hi, just a quick reminder... we are hoping to get your input regarding the following questions: Do you also see value in automating the import of dumped SMF data (vs. providing consumption of real-time SMF feeds)? We are interested in your priorities between these two approaches and any thoughts on how each approach would help you achieve your business goals. See my update from June 25 for the full context of these questions. Thanks!
Thanks for submitting this requirement. There are different degrees to which the current zERT Network Analyzer intake process could be improved. One would be to provide the ability to automate the import of SMF data from SMF dump data sets such that the process can be regularly scheduled. With this approach, however, the data is still being written to SMF and later collected and made available to the network analyzer for import at some later time. Another degree would be the consumption of data through a real-time interface such as the NMI you pointed out. Obviously, you see value in the the ability to monitor zERT data in realtime, but I must point out that realtime monitoring of zERT data was not a primary design goal of the zERT Network Analyzer (as you pointed out, there are other products that already do this type of monitoring, and the list of such products is growing) Do you also see value in automating the import of dumped SMF data? We are interested in your priorities between these two approaches and any thoughts on how each approach would help you achieve your business goals.
