When importing 'large' SMF datasets with ~200m records, the zOSMF NCA Java reads all records to filter filter Type 119 records relevant. In sample this are around 2m records. This process runs for more than 4h (wasting CPU resources), which is very inefficient. This zOSMF NCA Java application should call IFASMFDP and DUMP only records 119, and then read only the data from that temporary dataset.
As the dump with the IFASMFDP only takes 2minutes to run and the import with the filtered file is processed within minutes instead of many hours!
zOSMF NCA cannot assume that the provided dataset only contains 119 records, hence a filtering with a temporary dataset dumped with IFASMFDP would accelerate this process extremely!
