Performance optimisation

I'm looking into a ZOWE performance problem, and I can see an are of z/OS which could be optimised.

Since we are unable to determine if this performance issue is directly related to the SMF records that are being generated or if it's something else in the way in which Zowe is implemented. After consultation with others from the Zowe team here at IBM, they recommend opening an issue against Zowe instead to attempt to get to the root cause of the performance issue via this link here:
    https://github.com/zowe/community/issues/new/choose
NOTE: You will need to create a Linux Foundation github id to create a issue.

and I am producing thousands of smf 92 subtype 11 ( file close)

When I run zowe I get many getmain/free main requests. It would be good if someone with the right tools could go throug and identify these area.

My baby z/OS zPDT, IPLs in under 3 minutes - zowe takes about 40 minutes. A lot of this time is loading jar files etc.

so anything we can do to reduce this cost/time would help

The trace that has been provided is insufficient to determine exactly what's going on. What modules do these PSW addresses refer to? Which one is doing the Getmain? Where are we PC'ing into? This could be something that an SMF service is doing, but it could be something else altogether.
Please provide additional documentation for the request.
