Add SDM recovery when HSM cancels TCT activity

On z/OS, this idea would be a design change to add SDM (system data mover) recovery when HSM (hierarchal storage manager) cancels TCT (tape cloud tiering) activity so that ANTMAIN does not need to be canceled. The SDM recovery should clean up all TCT activity under the SDM task like the ENQ Major Name SYSZDSAF.

As an example, when using GDPS for a planned hyperswap, the swap will fail if TCT activity is in progress.  In this situation it is necessary to investigate further and cancel TCT activity in order to proceed with the planned hyperswap.  Further to that, after cancelling the TCT activity, it is necessary to perform a display of GRS across the lpars in the sysplex, to determine whether the ENQ that caused the swap to fail has been cleared.  If the ENQ is found, further action must be taken to cancel ANTMAIN.

This idea would ensure  that SDM cleans up TCT activity when it is requested through HSM.  It would remove the associated TCT ENQ, tasks, and memory from ANTMAIN, without having to perform additional manual work to cancel ANTMAIN, thus allowing the planned hyperswap to be immediately re-tried.

For the person administering the planned hyperswap with the described example, this idea would save time.
