ISPF DSLIST Support of FLIP and HIDE Commands Comparable to EDIT/VIEW Primary Commands

The PDF editor "FLIP" primary command reverses the exclude status of a specified group of lines or all the lines in a file, including data, information, message, and note lines. In addition, the "HIDE" primary command removes the "n Line(s) not Displayed" messages from the display where lines have been excluded by the EXCLUDE command.

The capability to perform these functions from the ISPF DSLIST 3.4 utility does not exist. Once lines or blocks of lines are excluded from display (on panel ISRUDSL0), the screen becomes littered with 'sequences of dash leaders' and 'x data set(s) not displayed' messages.

This requirement requests that comparable DSLIST FLIP and HIDE support for excluded lines be implemented analogously to that which is implemented in PDF EDIT and VIEW.
