RELATED IDEAS

DFSMSHSM - remove reliance on ML1 for VTOC backups

We are no longer using migration level 1 for migrated data so we want to remove all ML1 volumes, however these are still required for VTOC backups. We do not see a need for VTOC backups as we would never use them for recovery but there does not appear to be an option to discontinue them. We would like to be able to remove the VTOC backup function if possible.
