Customers may encounter a situation where their HSM ML1 volumes have filled and yet they still need more space in the storage groups for production data.
Customers can use the MIGRATE SG command or the MIGRATE VOLUME command. However, the ML2 subparameter is unavailable with SG or VOLUME.
Currently, the SG and VOLUME parameters do allow direct migration to CLOUD. It would be beneficial if customers could do the same and migrate direct to ML2 with SG or VOLUME.

The suggested option would have been very helpful as I was trying to alleviate an out-of-space situation accompanied by several failed jobs on a recent Sunday. I was trying to quickly clear off the DASD and ML1 volumes as many new archive datasets were being created by a DB2 job. At least one of our production applications was offline for several hours. Having to select each dataset by name was a slow and tedious process.
