The LOAD service does not allow load modules with SPLIT attribute to be loaded into ADDR and ADDR64 areas. This makes loading a SPLIT module into ECSA and 64-bit COMMON difficult, as one must code two separate modules.

Simplify z/OS LOAD and utilize SPLIT as intended

For the LOAD macro, it appears that the parameter EXTINFO was added wth the express purpose of avoiding a call the CSVQUERY. However, CSVQUERY must still be invoked to get module attribute information, such as RENT, who loaded it, etc. EXTINFO should return this information as well.

Finish the goal of avoiding a CSVQUERY invocation.

Log RACF keyring and certificate usage to enable proper validation and auditing

Determining whether a RACF keyring or any RACF certificate is still in use by an application (e.g., started task, batch job, etc.) is a very challenging task. Neither RACF nor other components like zERT generate SMF records that capture the usage ...

Introduce validation to not allow invalid characters in the DSNAME field in VRS

Although DFSMSrmm does not check quoted data set names for valid characters (per TSO RMM ADDVRS command doc), it would be beneficial to not allow invalid characters in the DSNAME field of a VRS because the accidental creation of a VRS with certain...

Allow user ID that authenticate with passticket to not have to set a password.

Currently user ID that use passticket for authentication still have to set a password in RACF even if it is never used. This creates overhead managing a password and renewal of the password where non-expiry passwords are not permitted. This reques...

DFSMSrmm cleanup data set records

Most customers today are using VTS to create tapes. When the tapes go scratch, after x number of days, the data is usually deleted from the VTS. For example this is the case with TS77xx EXPIRY-HOLD=x days, meaning after RMM has scratch the tape, t...
