Improvemet for recovery from MCL out of sync status

The failure of SE console HDD were occurred during MCL apply.
Then it was MCL out of sync status.
If the difference between MCL of SE Console and MCL of CPC is 1 Level, POR (Power on Reset) is not required for recovery.
However, if it is 2 levels or more, POR is required for recovery.
Now in some case MCL include 2 levels or more differentiations.
Customer uses IBM Z as a mission-critical system and required 24 x 365 continuous operations.
So customer don't accept POR for those reasons that SE HDD failure occurs and MCL differentiations is 2 levels or more.
Therefore customer desires improvement for microcode to eliminate the possibility of needing POR due to SE Console HDD failure.
Alternatively, an improvement such that MCL difference is always released at 1 Level is also acceptable.

    Based on review of the history and data between IBM and Nippon Steel it was decided that no action would be done for this RFE.

    SE console HDD failure occurred when Customer Engineer applying MCL. (PMR 10428,6V5,760)
    SE HDD failure cause MCL Out of Sync state.
    Depending on the situation, recovery for MCL Out of Sync need POR (Power On Reset).


    One of request from customer is that HDD mirroring(RAID) configuration will be selectable.
    Even if z114 is impossible, it is good if it can be realized by latest z(z14ZR1).
    Because IBM is selling z14ZR1 for this customer for upgrade from this z114.
