This is the public portal for all IBM Z Hardware and Operating System related offerings. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Hi,
you can define an entry in EDGDEFxx parmlib member to solve this problem:
/* -- Start creation 99000 default keydate -- */
DEFAULT KEYDATE(99000) /* WHILECATALOG */ -
NOEDM /* Non external managed data sets */ -
RETPD(00001,OVERRIDE) /* RETPD to OVERRIDE JCL EXPDT */ -
RETAINBY(SET) /* All volumes have the same expdt */ -
RM(EXPDT) /* Retention method EXPDT used */ -
WHILECATALOG(ON) /* Set WHILECATALOG check to on */
/* -- End creation 99000 default keydate -- */
Best regards
Norbert
One solution available to you right now is UXTABLE. You can code an entry to set keyword dates like 99000 to their RMM equivalents.
In addition if you issue the RMM command RMM CD 'DSN ' vol(volser) EXPDT(99000) and the RMM CV volser expdt(99000) the expiration date is set to 00/00/1999 and the dataset is uncatalogged on the next housekeeping run. Risking loss of data, if you are not aware.
